when we are nude we are in our natural state. we wern't born wearing the latest fashion
so there fore there is a connection between nature and nude
but that's just my oppinion, and i respect yours, even though it is diffrent

I spent a goodly ammount of timein GA, just outside of Augusta. It was a nice enough place, but I'm very glad to be back in my woods.
As to the other question, I'm into clothes. I've actually got certain articles of clothing that I use in ritual. Heheh, one of my friends began referring to what we were invariably wearing as our armor. In a way, I suppose it might be armor of a sort. If, say, you're most comfortable in this old hooded sweatshirt, and are able to do your magic better when you're wearing it, then (possibly phsychosomatically) it may serve as a bit of protection against the little baddies out there.
In a similar respect, if you're most comfortable in the buff... then your magic might be stronger when you practice it in the buff.
Remember that a huge portion of what we do is mental. If you can't see it in your mind, you're going to have a hard time managing anything. If you have some clothing, or lack therof
that helps you center easier, then by all means, wear it... or don't wear it...
I can just imagine how nakedness would get a little distracting in a group setting though.
Wandering eyes lead to wandering minds, and we kind of want to be focussed.

I like clothes too
They are another art form like drawing, photography or music. Fashion is a huge industry, artful and wearing a certain outfit can make your whole day happier because of a brighter color or it makes you look good, etc.
But i am all for running around in the nude!! *lol*
blessed be

Merry Meet Neighbor
I live about 50 miles Southwest of you in a tiny little Alabama town. So howdy neighbor...
As for clothes....if loose fitting comfy night gowns count....i'm in! I guess part of it is being a plus sized woman...but i get sick of having to wear confining clothes all the time!

To me clothes are a way to keep life interesting. The keep us wondering what is underneath. Even in a non-sexual way we can sometimes be curious as to whats underneath an outfit, coat...etc.

I live in GA! I live in a small-ish town about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Anyone know where Bartow County is? Didn't think so
As for the clothes debate, I like clothes. Most of the time you can tell a lot about a person by their clothes, and its fun getting to wear all the different colors. Not to say that running around in your birthday suit isn't good, but clothes are fun. Not to mention that in my mind, jewelry is considered clothes, and you can't LIVE without pretty shineys.

Where in GA are you Davis? For your sake I hope not near me. It's muggy and humid as hell down here. We had to play hacky sac in the house the other day because we couldn't handle being outside that long
I've heard of Cartersville Lunar. I think we drove through there on a school trip or something. I don't go up there much though since I'm about a 3-4 hour drive south of Atlanta.

Yeah you're about three and a half hours north of here. We go up there all the time for school stuff though. I love it there, much cooler than down here. We get to go to Harlem(about 30 min north of Augusta) this Saturday for a Drama Festival. I'm gonna take stage managing and musical theatre workshops

I lived in Ft. Gordon for a year, it was one of the most friendliest places I've every lived in. Great schools, friends, and fond memories. But I recently moved back into my little desert in Texas.
Now my position on nudity. Hmm, I feel that we as a society may have grown accustomed to clothing, and our minds have accepted this part of human life. But in my spirit I know that it isn't natural, but nudity is considered unacceptable for human presentation. If we don't wish to be exposed to nudity I suppose it's time to clothe our dogs, cats, horses, and so forth.
But seeing as clothes' advantage comes apparent when the environment have it so, comfort also becomes an issue. This is an interesting topic for discussion...but that's just how I feel.
I wonder if one can train his naked body and spirit to be immune to heat and cold...

Yep... check out some of the Taoist and Zen monks in northern asian climates.
I think we had a thread on this a year or so ago... although it also ties into the whole magick/ritual and how clothes/specialized clothes/nudity could effect the outcome/quality/effectiveness of a working.
