I would also look at you slightly oddly crazy... Trying to raise kids in an RV would be really difficult.

I have unlimited internet, unlimited texts, unlimited calls so long as I am in what they call a "Wind Zone", basically one of the cities they have access to, of which Calgary is, and thus, I do.

I'm loving having access to my emails, music, twitter and occasionally facebook, while I'm out and about. I survived a year without a cellphone... I'm very glad to have one again. If any of you text, let me know. And of course, I'm on BBM now... That's fun too!

I am really enjoying it. My toy is definitely still new and shiny.

Remember, I'm part Rom, lol. I can honestly say, I've seen more well adjusted kids raised in RVs than in a lot of other areas. They get more chances to experience the world and due to being able to move your home wherever, it's easier to take them to educational places, historical areas, etc. which tends to give a deeper appreciation and broader education. I can get all soap box-y about that. An RV can very much be a home. I should know

we are gearing up and getting ready to do that very thing and our 9yr. old is going to be internet schooled and we can travel to and from doctor appts. easier. Course the rv we are getting is bigger than Rune's.(haven't seen it yet) but we know the guy we're getting it from and I figure we'll be road ready by summer.

Plus kids raised in RVs don't get all mind-zonked from video games all day.

Like I've always said, I want my kidlets to learn to count by counting bugs! And hey, enough people look at me strange already - what's one more. We're already raising our kids entirely differently than most families.

Exactament... It also just depends on what you want, RVs do come up to 42ft with up to 4 slide outs. All said and done, some are more luxurious than the half million dollar home I built back in 2002.

And you're right CHL, you do tend to spend more time outdoors, which is good for everyone, but especially kids in this overly video game, tv and computer oriented world.

Okay, I do not consider a 42 ft-er to be classified as an RV... that is a house on wheels. And I agree with the video games rule... my main concern was that your kids tend to feel very outcast don't they? Also, trying to keep track of your kids when you're forever on the road? Not for me, I guess. I'm not adverse to the traveling lifestyle though... me and my hubby have seriously looked into living on a boat. We'd still love to do that day when we have enough money. We have pretty solid plans for a 40 - 42 ft catamaran sailboat with solar panels and satellite internet!
